Hi, my name is Alicia, and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to the liver in February 2025. I have been out of work since the middle of January. I was in St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma for 12 days. During this time, I had two blood transfusions. I currently have a colostomy bag which has prolapsed. I have done four rounds of the chemo Folfox. I do the treatment every other week and hopefully will be done by mid-August. I wear the chemo pouch home for 46 hours and then still feel ill for another 72 hours after it is removed.

My FMLA (Family Medical Leave) ran out the last week of April. Unfortunately, I have no savings and have no income coming in. I am currently applying for disability but am unsure of the outcome. I am currently trying to pay my monthly bills, my health insurance/co-pays, and transportation costs.
