Support Alex Lewis's Life-Saving Transplants

Hi all,
In 2013, at just 35 years old, my father, Alex Lewis, was stripped of the life he had known forever. Alex was diagnosed with kidney disease. As if that wasn't enough, two years later, he was diagnosed with heart disease. However, today I am proud to announce that after a harsh and extremely long battle (over a decade), Alex will be receiving a kidney and heart transplant in August 2025.
Since 2013, Alex has gotten sicker and sicker, resulting in a financial strain. We would be extremely and eternally grateful for your help for the following reasons:
1. Being worked up for an organ transplant requires many appointments, scans, and tests, and, even with health insurance, the costs will add up into the thousands.
2. After Alex's transplant, he will be unable to work for three months as he recovers, attends multiple appointments a week, and balances the medications that he will need to be on for the rest of his life. Essentially, he will be making basically no income for those three months.
My dad is a private person, and he's been fighting this fight quietly. Many individuals who are close to him have no idea of what he has been enduring. He's a fighter. Always has been. Always will be. He never would want to be considered a burden on anyone else.
So that is why I am asking, as his only child, for your help. Anything you donate will be greatly appreciated. Your donation would help cover medical bills, therapy, rent, insurance payments, groceries, and post-surgery aftercare.
To whoever took the time to read this, thank you, even if you don’t donate, the fact that you took the time to learn about my special, amazing, funny, and kindhearted dad means a lot.
