Losing my father to suicide has been absolutely devastating. He struggled for a long time with severe mental health issues and had many attempts on his life over the years. His passing was still a complete shock, and on top of the grief, I’ve been left to navigate everything without a will or any of his affairs in order, which has made this time even more overwhelming and difficult to manage.

My dad loved the earth and animals, and he especially loved his cats more than anything. Anyone who met him loved him—he was always this beam of light when I was a little girl, and he grew into a kind, genuine, and sensitive man who radiated goodness to everyone around him.

Right now, I am facing a mountain of unexpected expenses—funeral costs, legal fees, and bills for his house and other responsibilities that need to be taken care of. These financial burdens have added a lot of stress to an already heartbreaking situation, and I am doing my best to get through each day while honoring his memory.
