Help Us Purchase a Building for a Masjid in Seattle

Masjid Al-Sakeena (Sakeena Center of Seattle, A 501c3 Not-for-Profit Organization)

Assalamualaikum! I am reaching out to my beautiful community and requesting your assistance to help my brother-in-law in his journey to build a beautiful masjid in Seattle, Washington.

My brother-in-law, Sheikh Abdul Ahad Mansoor, has been an imam and teacher for the past 20 years and counting. He has served as a community youth leader and taught thousands of students over the years. One of his biggest dreams is to build a masjid to strengthen the Muslim community in his hometown, Seattle. He understands that this will require significant sacrifice of time, health, and wealth.

This Masjid, inshAllah, will serve as a source of guidance for thousands. This Masjid will be located in an area with many low-income families in a growing community, and there is no Masjid within 15-20 minutes of this area. Seattle’s community lacks significant youth-focused efforts. This place aims to cater to not just the youth but also the families that are seeking to raise their children in the environment of a Masjid. The youth will have a place to come after school, worship, learn, hang out, and leave daily with a deeper connection to Allah SWT.

The Masjid property we are pursuing spans 7,000 sq ft, with a 12,000 sq ft lot. It can hold 250 men and 250 women for prayers. It has space for classrooms and offices and retail space in the front. It has 25 parking spots. It is five minutes away from I-5, and it is near a lot of stores and shops.

The Masjid property is listed at $1.2 million. Alhamdulillah we have collected $160,000 so far which will go towards the downpayment of the property.

Any donation is appreciated - I am seeking to raise $100,000 and more from my friends and family in the next two weeks. The funds will be used towards downpayment of the property!

Ways You Can Help

-Make a lot of dua that Allah SWT accepts this place as a masjid and for His Worship

-Donate as much as you can to the masjid so you can get Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous reward)

-Spread the word and encourage others to contribute in any way they can

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever builds a mosque, desiring thereby Allah’s pleasure, Allah builds for him the like of it in paradise.” [Bukhari]
