Support volunteers for Ukraine Relief Effort

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Brit Andrews and I'm fundraising along with my colleague Michael Behm to support our living expenses as we volunteer with Ukraine Relief Effort. As volunteers with URE, neither of us earns an income, so we are asking for assistance in covering costs like food and rent to continue providing aid to internally displaced Ukrainians.

A bit about ourselves

We both graduated with Master's degrees in Architecture from Montana State University. After finishing our degrees, we decided to volunteer our architectural skills with URE, a nonprofit providing humanitarian aid in Ukraine. Michael and I moved to the small town of Kopychyntsi in March 2023 to help design and oversee the construction of housing and infrastructure projects for displaced Ukrainians. We have since completed 6 projects here in Kopychyntsi and are expanding our efforts further east in Kmelnystkyi.

About Ukraine Relief Effort

URE is dedicated to supporting internally displaced persons in Ukraine through architectural aid and development. Our mission is to improve living conditions for Ukrainians forced to flee their homes due to the conflict.

We aim to build safe, sustainable housing and improve essential infrastructure like healthcare facilities and community centers to meet each community's unique needs. Guided by empathy, collaboration and innovation, we work closely with local partners to efficiently design cost-effective, environmentally sustainable projects that adhere to international building standards.

By providing displaced Ukrainians with safe spaces to live and heal, we hope to help restore stability and community. URE has no political goals - our only aim is to alleviate civilian suffering through humanitarian relief.

If you would like to support URE's work directly instead of our personal fundraising, please visit their website at https://www.ukrainereliefeffort.org/. Thank you for considering a contribution to help us continue assisting displaced Ukrainians.
