Support a Veteran's Memorial for Donald Doctor

Hello, my name is Delia Sanchez. On July 13th of 2025, I lost my father, Donald Doctor, to lung cancer. Although my father had life insurance, it was only enough to cover his cremation and a few final expenses.

My father is a military vet, and the VA has done nothing to help us. I am raising this money because I want to have services for him, and with all the final expenses, we really can't afford to have it. We have to rent the place, and then there's the food and preparations. We are very proud people and never asked for help, but I'm reaching out and hope that maybe I can bless my father with a nice service. He deserves it. He served our country; although he wasn't in war, he was still ready to lay his life down for total strangers, and the VA has not given one dime to help with my father.

I'm an only child, and I'm doing all this on my own, trying to get my mother out of something. I brought my father home today in an urn that a very special friend provided for him. Again, the VA didn't even help with an urn or pay for any of his cremation and has not reached out to us one time to see if we needed help. My father was a good man and helped a lot of people. My father knew no stranger. I remember people in and out of our house who would be broken down on the side of the road. My dad would bring them home, fix their vehicle, and charge them hardly anything, and they would be on their way.
