Help Us Move Our Rescue Dogs Overseas for Our First Military PCS ✈️

Hi everyone,

We’re Dakota and Curtis—a military couple facing our very first PCS overseas to the United Kingdom. While we’re excited (and a little nervous!) about this next chapter, we’re heartbroken at the thought of possibly leaving part of our family behind.

Our two rescue dogs, Nala and Anakin, have been with us through it all. They’re more than pets—they’re our emotional support, our comfort during long nights apart, and a huge part of our little family. But moving them overseas comes with a massive price tag.

The military offers a small reimbursement, but it doesn’t come close to covering the $7,500+ it costs to relocate pets internationally. Between airline-approved crates, vet travel certifications, import fees, and flight arrangements—especially for larger dogs or overseas travel—it all adds up quickly.

We’re doing everything we can to budget, save, and cover what we can, but we need a little help to get Nala and Anakin to the UK safely with us.
