To our community of supporters:
We closed our doors at Good Stuff Eatery and Santa Rosa Taqueria on Capitol Hill. We, The Pizza is only doing contactless delivery and curbside pick up, with minimal staff.
We are heartbroken that we cannot serve our community right now. We are deeply concerned for our team, their families, farmers that rely on us and the many people that are part of operating our restaurants.
We have never seen anything like this and have been trying to navigate information, hour by hour. What is certain - we love feeding our community and when people are in need, we help. We began by offering free lunches to kids until school reopens, in case they cannot get to a feeding grab and go site. We’ve given food to police officers, hospital workers, firemen, churches and elderly in communities that otherwise would have very little to sustain them.
Our top priority is keeping our employees and their families fed during this financial crisis. We thank every person that has called and emailed with offers to donate money and support us. We appreciate your love of our restaurants, employees and hope that we will be able to reopen soon.
We appreciate donations in any amount. 100% of proceeds go to the 120 employees that are no longer able to work with us at this time.
The future is uncertain and the livelihoods of so many people are hanging in the balance. At a time like this, we band together and our community has really shown us that. Your concern has been overwhelming and means the world to us.
