Hello World, My name is Joseph Earl Tinker Jr., a convicted felon on 1st degree murder. The story is what we all can see as a disaster before, but the story now would tell you different. As a youngin coming up in the neighborhood never leaving the block, kind of allowed me to become a product of the environment. Of course, at the age of 11 years old is outstanding to be selling drugs, possessing weapons and being what the environment allowed me to be which was blind to childhood. At 14 years old, I became a father to a baby boy who’s a sharp young man today identifying my experiences as a learning experience for himself. After his birth, I was shot down by police officers and I survived the injuries with just receiving hardware (metal) to my leg. Still, that only made the mind of a young boy become the environment superman. Thereafter committing a crime of robbery and doing a sentence of 6 years from 16-22. Returning to society without a plan or a value to what life is. So, after 9 months of an empty mind a new charge of 1st degree murder met me at DC JAIL. Even though I committed the charges I was sentenced to life and I fought the courts to grant an appeal. In the meantime, while awaiting on the appeal. Finally, I found value of life and started school. 1st I got my GED, Computer skills and major appliances repair before the appeal came back as a denial, so I filed another one while awaiting on the second denial, I wanted to know is the things that I’ve committed and done. While coming up is normal so I got my money together and paid for a psychology/social worker course with Strafford Career Institute and found not just that these acts were not normal but stereotypical which raises the value of my life, then I got more money together to get a forklift license at the same time earning an apprenticeship in (housekeeping) for Comm, residential and industrial which I received. As we have Always known but I had to learn when doing good things bad or unwanted news comes full blast. So the appeal was denied again but now I have invested into a new life sentence my life has become more valuable then an inmate or what I was offered by the environment. I am now someone with principle, priorities and values. So I am appealing again. This time I know that I will get free. So I continued to educate myself. I signed up for more computer skills as a receptionist, real estate investing and plumbing classes. The appeal came back fast with a notice of denial. After promising my mom that I will win broke her heart but only adding value to my life I’ve invested a lot of time in being successful in this lifetime. So, I must continue to learn all that I can and keep fighting to use these skills in a world where they matter. Here I go again looking for another issue to go to the courts with, I found one as I awaits the government to make its opposition. While I wait I signed up for more trade schooling and was accepted into AutoCAD (computer architect)1 year after graduating feeling like a king educated with a life sentence. In the meantime, I got a few small classes like a time to change, anger management, victim impact classes that tell stories about what goes on and wrong with civilians and innocent human beings after 22 yrs. the last appeal came back a success. I was granted a reduction in my sentence remember when doing good things, its always something. After rejoicing the news to mom, I went to medical the medical services for a knot on my neck and it’s cancer……..ooooh my God, when does the pressure let up? I had to shed a few tears and more tears. But I got it back together after finding out that it’s a curable cancer a (HPV )at this time I am in the hospital but still with a medical hold in a federal medical center until I am discharged. I will be released. This time with a valuable plan at 45 years old, I plan to work until I can get up the money to get a cargo van so that I can have the process to develop before I get a truck to carry and deliver more but the objective is to get a 24ft box cargo truck, that will allow the banks and my credit to grow before I start carpentry work on houses of my own buy and sell with profit. My GoFundMe proposal is because now that I am home trying to live out my hope of success no matter the condition that I try to live through, I started working but was terminated do to my monthly chemotherapy treatment that won’t allow me to work everyday….. I am really sick after Chemotherapy for at least two (2) day after. So now I need the help to remain focused and supported with some of the necessities that will help keep me alive during my fight to live, through this struggle as I have been there for others in the time when I could….
