I'm Dr. Iltifat Hasan, I've been working in Quality assurance & quality control in the U.S. for over 20 years, and have encountered a pressing issue in the pharmaceutical industry in my home country of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s drug industry suffers from lack of proper oversight by appropriate health authorities which results in the distribution of sub-standard drugs. This issue is not only in Pakistan, but in developing countries across the world.
I have reached out to Karachi University where they have agreed to test commercially available antibiotics and analgesics. It is my humble request to attain additional funding for the instruments required to perform the experiments.
Once we have obtained data on the sub-standard quality of these commerically available drugs, I have sources in the media in Pakistan that can publicize the issue in order to put pressure on the pharmaceutical industry to issue quality drugs.
If this issue is addressed in Pakistan, its impact will send shockwaves through the developing world and will save the lives of thousands of people affected by this issue everyday.
