Relatives and community,
We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of prayer and support that has carried Nicholas through these past weeks. Because of this circle, he has been able to focus on rest and healing without immediate pressure to return to work.
Recovery is ongoing, and as many of you know, it is taking longer than initially expected.
Nicholas is continuing to prioritize his health and is not yet able to fully return to his work or ceremonial responsibilities. We are extending this fundraiser to support this continued recovery period, so he can heal fully and return in a good way, without being rushed back too soon.
If you have already given, please know your support has made a real difference. If you feel called to share or contribute, it is deeply appreciated.
The circle continues to hold.

Relatives,
Reaching out in a moment that calls for both prayer and practical support.
Nicholas Sanchez, our respected leader, relative, and caretaker of our Tiyoshpaye, recently suffered a heart attack and is now focused on recovery, rest, and healing. As he takes the time he needs to heal, we are being asked - as a community - to show up in the way our traditions teach us to.
In Lakota ways, Tiyoshpaye is not just family by blood, but family by responsibility. When one of us is weakened, the circle tightens. Support flows not out of charity, but out of relationship. We help carry one another so no one has to walk alone.
We ask first for prayers - for strength, healing, and balance for Nicholas as his body recovers. We also invite any financial support you feel called to offer. This support will help ease the burden as he takes necessary time away from work and daily responsibilities, allowing him to heal without added stress or pressure.
Every offering, whether prayer, financial support, or sharing this message, is a way of saying: you matter, and you are not alone.
Thank you for standing with our Tiyoshpaye during this time. May the care given return to you and your families in good ways.
You may of course, reach out to Nicholas directly.
With gratitude and respect
