Stand Together for Nepal

Nepal is facing a devastating humanitarian emergency following the catastrophic flash flood that struck Rasuwa and northern Nepal on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.

The sudden flooding along the Bhote Koshi River has caused widespread destruction in areas including Timure, Rasuwagadhi and Syabrubesi. Homes, businesses, roads, bridges and essential infrastructure have been severely damaged, while many people remain missing. Communities along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river systems continue to face serious risks.

Rescue and relief efforts are underway, with the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and other agencies working to rescue those affected, search for missing people and provide emergency assistance.

Northampton Nepalese Community Emergency Fundraiser

In response to this devastating disaster, Northampton Nepalese Community (NNC) is launching an emergency fundraising campaign to support the people of Nepal during this incredibly difficult time.

All funds raised through this appeal will be donated to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund of Nepal to support disaster relief and recovery efforts.

Every donation matters.

Whether it is £5, £10, £20 or whatever you are able to contribute, your support can make a real difference.

For families who have lost their homes, livelihoods and belongings within hours, our support can provide much-needed hope and assistance.

The Nepali community has always stood together in times of crisis. Now is the time for us to come together once again.
