Stand up for Seth Hayes to fight Glioblastoma
Donazione protetta
Glioblastoma is an aggressive brain tumor that my nephew was diagnosed with around Mother’s Day (May 2022)
My nephew Seth has grown into an insightful, warmhearted adult with a family of his own.
He’s a good man, with a beautiful family and caring, loving and beautiful wife Leah. They love dogs, cats, animals, people, family and have a great sense of honor. Seth has served in the US Air Force for over 25 years of his life . He did seven years as an Airman. He then worked for Government Contractors. He is currently a Civil Service employee and will retire on Disability Retirement. Recently Leah, his wife, had no choice but to sign retirement papers for her husband Seth as he is struggling with memory issues due to the debilitating disease of glioblastoma.
It is felt by Oncology that his brain cancer stems from his job in the Air Force. They have applied for VA disability but have been waiting since September 2022. He has withstood devastating treatments and consequences of this aggressive tumor and everything else involved in trying to beat this. For Leah, I pray for her as she nurtures and loves him so very much. If it were only a matter of love, Leah would be able to do that. She’s strong, kind and caring too.
They will very shortly (in May) be receiving Seth’s final check. His Social Security Disability Insurance does not begin until September. The goal set would help to alleviate some of the stressors such as food and meals and also to ease some of the financial burden incurred medically. Will you help restore some self worth, give some hope and show this family that we have the ability to care for one another? “Let not our hearts be hardened”. For “whatsoever you do to the least of your brothers and sisters, you do unto me.”
Please give generously and then yet again. Keep them in your prayers and please would you share this. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see this shared across the internet.
Seth stood for us by serving our country and now it is time for us to stand together for him. Let this message not only touch your heart but move you to support them financially. Thank you.
Update:
Update on Seth. Seth's symptoms have worsened over the last month as of this writing June 2023. He uses a wheelchair, has trouble forming words, needs care for basic things (bathing, etc.). While the MRI showed shrinkage of the tumor, the dr believes these symptoms are tumor related due to location. Leah is not so sure. She thinks some of it is treatment related. Anyway, Seth with Leah has have an appointment on Monday with a surgeon in Atlanta. He specializes in deep seeded tumors. Please pray that this is an option for them no more side effects and improvement of the symptoms he currently has. Please share this again
