Stand by April: Overcome Cancer Together

Hello! My name is Heather Wilson. This fundraiser is for my sister-in-law, April Joyner. Here is a little tid bit of her story.

On March 10, 2025 our family was devastated to learn that she was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) . She will undergo Bilateral Mastectomy on May 6 and then start her journey on breast reconstruction. That will entail weekly visits with her surgeon in Louisville until she is strong enough to undergo a more major surgery.

April and her husband, Terry, both work full-time jobs. But April will be off work for a minimum of 6 weeks. The hospital bills will be expensive, as well as the cancer surgeon with Brown Cancer Center, and the plastic surgeon with Nortons Hospital. The bills are already coming in.

At 42 years of age, April prays that surgery will eliminate all the cancer and enable her to live many years with family and friends.

Any contribution will be much appreciated and will help with medical bills, travel expenses to Louisville and back, and for post op necessities.
