St Oswald's Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Care.

I’m reaching out to share something very personal and important to me. I’m fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support and St Oswald’s Hospice by doing something a little bold — having my head shaved! This was completed on 1st August, but I am still raising funds.

These two charities are incredibly close to my heart:

Macmillan Cancer Support stood by our family during my mother’s battle with cancer and after her passing. Their compassion and care made a world of difference during such a difficult time.

St Oswald’s Hospice has been a pillar of support for my niece and her step-daughter following the sudden loss of her fiancé. They continue to provide counselling and care, especially for the little one, which means so much.

To ensure both charities benefit equally, I’ve used PayPal for donations. Platforms like GoFundMe and JustGiving only allow fundraising for one charity at a time, and unless marked as a charity fundraiser, they deduct nearly 3% in fees. PayPal allows me to direct every penny raised to where it’s needed most. However, not everyone has PayPal so this was created :)
