St Connell’s Museum & Heritage Centre

We are a community museum and heritage centre, based in the picturesque village of Glenties, Co. Donegal. We are currently in our fourth decade of service to the history, culture and heritage of Glenties and surrounding areas. We house artefacts, literature, documents, treasures and memories for the people local to the area, passers by, and those on a quest to find their roots and belonging. We have always been completely dependant on fundraising and patrons walking through the doors, but as it stands, our doors are closed. The pandemic severed our ability to support ourselves, and we are desperate for your help to clear the way for the doors to reopen once more. Not only will your donation grant us safe passage back to servicing the local community, it will return a wonderful asset to local tourism and business, and preserve our profound historical legacy for the generations to come.
