We are Brien and Eric, and we have been together and best friends for 23 years. We have definitely been through a lot of good and bad times.

Last year, November 2024, we moved to CA in what was supposed to be our last move to settle down and live out our final days. But instead, it turned out to be a major disaster that has left us in a desperate situation where we need the help of our friends and family to financially survive.

Four months after arriving in CA, things began to take a turn for the worse. Brien's cancer returned for a second time, and it was more aggressive than the first. He was no longer able to work. His employer denied any disability, and there was no insurance. He was bedridden for two months before any treatment could begin when Eric found employment. Things were getting better, but we began living with only one income to support us. We managed and were very hopeful, although we were living paycheck to paycheck.

Unfortunately, at the end of August, Eric was laid off from his job due to budget cuts. We are near the end of any money we have left to survive. To make things worse, Eric lost his insurance, and that means Brien's treatment will stop. He has four more rounds of chemo to complete. Eric is looking for employment, but that can take some time.

So, at this point, we are asking for help from our friends, family, and anyone who can or is willing to help us. We feel, at this time, it would be best for us to move back to CO where Eric's mom is and Brien's original cancer doctor is located.

We are asking for donations to help us make this journey back to a place where we have more support and better treatment for Brien. We are very desperate at this point.
