Hi! My name is Sofía Salazar Aguirre. And I am currently writing, directing, independently producing, and starring in my first feature film. Sofia&Antoinette. It's about me and my best friend Antoinette. I'm sure you have one. I met Antoinette in high school, but yours might be your mom, your daughter, your dog, your cat, your brother, your uncle, your neighbor, your barista, the list goes on. In the movie, she and I go on a journey through time. Not forwards or backwards, however. Everyone knows time is infinite. There is no beginning or end. We enter the whirlpool that is time. A cycle. Why? Well, since no one listens to each other nowadays, I decided to invent time travel. And I take Antoinette with me. To fix things. Against her will.
Meanwhile, in the real world, I am in the process of creating a production company and charity. AMOR ETERNO. Help me. Please. That's the only way this works: solving world hunger, homelessness in the United States, helping South America heal, and sending relief to anyone who needs it, worldwide, regardless of political affiliation. Immigrants being ripped from their families in the United States, Veterans left with little to no resources or government support in the U.S, failing health care systems in the United States and worldwide. families being destroyed in Gaza, leaving children behind to fend for themselves, Israeli people being made into villains and taken away because of the actions of their government, Venezuelans starving on the streets throughout Latin America, Bombs going off in Cali, Colombia, the list goes on. Why do I care so much? First of all, I'm a human being, and second, I love everyone. Unconditionally. Those two things shouldn't be mutually exclusive; however, in today's society, we forget. So remember. Remember who you are. A social being who was made to help others. And others will help you. That's why a platform like this even exists. Community.
If you can't donate, the most you can do is smile at someone today and talk to them. Ask them their name. You know mine's Sofia, so comment yours and share your story. That's the point of the film & organization. Highlighting individuals who are ignored by mainstream society. If you have ever felt misunderstood, underrepresented, ignored, or shunned, join the movement. Take that hate and negative energy and turn it into love and light. Please. For the sake of your happiness, but also the worldwide energy pool. It's low at the moment. We can make it stronger. Smile, laugh, and keep on loving. LOVE YOURSELF, accept the fact that we are all constantly evolving, accept the fact that you and your neighbor have different thoughts, beliefs, and values, and shake their hand. WHY? All we have is each other. For example, earlier this year, I wrote: "Conceptually, I am a genius, realistically, I am scared to find out." And now look at me. Writing to you. I took the risk. I'm taking it, typing this, having the AUDACITY to say we can save the world. So take a chance on me and find out. Because I believe in myself and my cause. OUR cause.
