Hello! My name is Jill, and I'm writing on behalf of Smokey Rodovsky, and his Mom, Nicole.

Here are Nicole's words:

"I suffer from clinical depression and panic attacks. Smokey is my documented "Emotional Support Animal." He has a unique wisdom: when I hyperventilate, he comes, and pats my face gently until I pet him and pull myself out of the attack.

I tend to be agoraphobic. Smokey by contrast, is hyper-social, and will get me to take him out with me just so he can socialize. He loves car rides and Pups & Cups.

The day before yesterday he wasn't eating and I sobbed, and he got up, hobbled over, and comforted ME.

At the hospital, an x-ray found a mass in Smokey's lung. Further testing is needed to find out if it's something treatable, as there's always a chance the mass is treatable. But they have to test the tissue first to find that out, which is why Smokey and I are asking you for your help today."
