R.I.P Bill Cancer Funds

Apologies for this not getting updated sooner. Things have been chaotic and disheartening. Our father passed away the morning of Tuesday, November 14th. When my husband and I got to Pennsylvania, our first stop was the hospital visiting Dad…I burst into tears.I have never seen him so sick. It had already been heartbreaking to hear it in his voice when we spoke by phone and video call…but to see in person was a whole new level for me. All of my life, he has been strong.

Dad made it clear on the 7th that he wanted to go home. He wanted to spend time with his grand babies. He wanted to be in his home surrounded by his loved ones. So, we had hospice arranged and by Thursday, November 9th, Dad was back home and my husband and I were on our way back to our home. He had a turbulent night that first night, but with the help of Steelton’s finest fire department, the hospice staff and others, Dad was able to remain in home and comfortably around loved ones until the end.

Sadly, the medical bills will still be coming in. Sadly, there are now added costs for his final wishes…

A small service will be held in Dad’s honor on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 EST. Location will be at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Steelton, Pennsylvania.
