In December 2017, our colleague Shea Pugliese was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and sadly, after less than 8 months, passed away on August 14. The Pugliese family lost a mother, a wife, a daughter, an aunt, a cousin and so much more. Shea was soft-spoken, but strong willed! She was kind, driven, magnificently organized and most importantly, she put family first. Shea was masterful at unplugging from work... a skill that many of us should really work on!
Those of us at McGraw-Hill Education who were lucky enough to work with Shea lost both a colleague and a friend. Her children (and husband John of course) were her life, and we can think of no better way to honor her memory, than to raise money to help support their education. If you knew Shea, or ever worked with her, you know the kind of person she was and how much she absolutely deserves this.
