Help Restore Shawn's Sight

Imagine your work requires exacting sight, but you have to work with a severe cataract in one of your eyes 20 feet in the air on scaffolding to pay your bills. Your depth perception and vision gradually fading and separating you from all you have ever known.......You are imaging the reality of my friend, Shawn McCole.

He is facing losing not only his profession, but also his sight. He blames himself for not prioritizing health insurance, while working a lifetime of self-contract work without benefits, overtime or any safety net. He actually blames himself!

It is our society that has failed Shawn and every hardworking person who has done the all right things, for all the right reasons, but is left behind by a healthcare system that the average self-contractor can't afford!

Please, let's all give a little to help Shawn get his sight back with the cataract surgery he desperately needs, and lift him from the darkness that somehow working hard his whole life has not been enough. Please.
