Shapes of Emotion: Senior Fashion Thesis
Donazione protetta
Hi! My name is Natalie Chapman, and I am a senior fashion design student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. As I work towards wrapping up my thesis collection, I am partnering with a wonderful crew of SCAD film students in order to bring my pieces to life. My collection "Shapes of Emotions" explores the depth of human emotion through the molecular structure of tears.
Thank you for your consideration in supporting this project. All funds raised will be used exclusively used for the production and post-production of the fashion film "Shapes of Emotion." We look forward to your continued support!
Tears are the rawest expression of our humanity, unseen maps of emotion crystallized at a microscopic level. Shapes of Emotions transforms these crystallized traces into garments, exposing the delicate yet powerful imprints that grief, joy, and release leave behind. Each piece is a study of the seemingly invisible, a translation of what our bodies remember long after we have moved on.
Layered textures mimic the fractal patterns of dried tears, while fluid, shifting forms echo the way emotion moves through us sometimes violently, sometimes as a whisper. No two tears are identical, yet they bind us in an unspoken language older than words. This collection is evidence of our shared fragility, our resilience, and the quiet, microscopic faith that keeps us connected.
