On December 30, 2023, Greensboro Police Sgt. Dale Nix, was tragically shot and killed while stopping an armed robbery at Sheetz on Sandy Ridge Road, Colfax, NC. Sgt. Nix, a veteran officer, was with GSO PD for 22 years. As many first responders, his oath didn't stop when he clocked off duty, but he carried it with him 24/7.

I knew Sgt. Nix through the community, my son and his having played soccer and basketball together over the years. All donations raised will be going directly to Sgt. Nix's wife.

Sergeant Nix, thank you for your service and may you Rest In Peace.
