Seriah's New Ride
Donation protected
This beautiful little girl is Seriah! At two weeks of age, Seriah’s skin color was abnormal. At the hospital, while waiting for results from different tests, Seriah suffered a stroke that caused Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy affects body movement, muscle control, muscle coordination, muscle tone, reflex, posture and balance. As the years have gone by, Seriah was carried everywhere due lack of funding to purchase a wheelchair.
She is now 8 years old and recently got a powered wheelchair! She loves her new independence and she does not have to wait for someone to move her or carry her! CP has not slowed Seriah down one bit! She is full of energy and loves to play! She also has the most beautiful smile I have ever seen! Unfortunately, getting around to doctors, and occupational therapies is difficult with her wheelchair. Her wheelchair remains at the school she attends, since we do not have a way of transporting it. We are looking for donations from wonderful, kind-hearted people, to help us pay for a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Her mother has applied for funding but still needs $5,000.00 more to be able to purchase the vehicle. Thank you so much for listening and for your kind donations!
