#BlackGirlJoy is an eclectic night of music by writer and composer Star Johnson, that will explore the growing pains and pratfalls of young adulthood through hip-hop, soul and pop infused musical theatre. The show will feature a diverse group of young performers presenting pieces from How to Quit Your Day Job (54 Below), Flattops and F Words (Kennedy Center) and other exciting new works in development!
Our team is working hard to make this concert a success by developing new music, rearranging songs and bringing professional creative team members on board. But with any artistic endeavor, funding is necessary to put on a great show. Every year NYMF attracts producers and investors who are looking for that next hit musical and this could be our big break -- but we can't do it without you!
