Scott Cleaveland Medical Fund

While it may sound simple enough, accepting help is something that is extremely challenging for all of us at one time or another. It can be especially hard for those who are consistently helping OTHERS.  Sometimes  we believe that asking for help undermines our independence and our ability to cope. However, by refusing to accept help, we are robbing others of JOY!   

Scott and his wife, Stacy are the ones who help others and never ASK for help.  As I write this, my Sister in law is taking food to another family who is suffering.  

I am starting this GO FUND ME in order to help take a little of the pressure off.

Without going into too much detail, Scott started a new job mere weeks before he got sick.  He has not accumulated vacation or sick days, and we all know what a nightmare health insurance is these days.

Scott and Stacy are still focusing on healing.  Rhabdomyolysis knocked him down and opened his immune system to a wave of Pnemonia, mononucleosis, and some other viral illnesses.  He has not been to work in 3 weeks.   A lengthy stay in the hospital, facing several more weeks of recovery at home and rehab..... Well, it wont be long until the pressure and stress of healing will turn to stress and pressure of medical bills piling up.

When people are sick, we wish we could heal them.  We have all used the phrase,” Let me know what I can do.”  We feel so helpless when people that we care about are hurting.

Taking some of the financial burden off of them would be such a blessing.  Even through their own crisis, they have not stopped helping others.  The continue to return the favor, pay it forward, and put others before themselves.


It is during the worst storms of your life that you will get to see the true colors of the people that love you.  Giving is the easiest way to show tangible love.  



GREAT opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us everyday.
