Schillerstrom - Bell Home Destroyed by Eaton Fire
Donation protected
As many of you know, my parents lost my dad’s childhood home on Wednesday morning in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA.
My grandparents purchased the house in 1961 and it has been a home and place to visit for four generations.
I am asking for your assistance during this tragedy. Anything helps them. Please keep the Schillerstroms in your prayers as they have lost everything out here in California.
Thank you for all of your support. Bless you all.
Cory (Schillerstrom) Saucedo
A note of gratitude from my parents, Marty and Dave:
To our dear families, new and old friends, colleagues, students and their families, friends of friends, the LAFD, and all the anonymous donors…
We are beyond awed and humbled by your love, concern, support and generosity as we face the complete loss of our beautiful home in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains.
We had spent the last 10 years curating this mid-century modern gem and property in Altadena that had been in the family for 63 years. We were about 95% finished with our renovations.
Our mantra has become “Happiness is not a place. It’s a direction.” The night after the fire, we saw this quote on a calendar that was hanging in the little kitchen of the back house where we are staying. Onward, we go!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us with this journey.
