SCAD Rising Star Dream

What is Rising Star? This challenging five-week program awards college credit to rising high school seniors who are ready for a university experience at SCAD Atlanta, SCAD Hong Kong, SCAD Savannah or SCAD eLearning. Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their portfolios. Online classes are also offered at a significant discount during their senior year if a student graduates with a 3.5 gpa or above from the program. Hey my name is Amanda! I was recently accepted to the SCAD Rising Star Pre-College Program for this upcoming summer and I'm really excited to have this opportunity! I'm raising money for the amazing opportunity to go to the Rising Star Program at SCAD I was accepted for by the end of April! I'm also working to raise as much money I can on my own through selling my artwork but I definitely need help with 6k. The money will go towards paying for tuition, room and board, and a meal plan.  Ever since I've heard about SCAD, it's been my dream college and I'm doing everything I can to help make that dream a reality. The Rising Star Program gives me an opportunity to take two college level classes and possibly go on to take online classes at a discount during my senior year. I'm really looking forward to making friendships along the way. I started this campaign because the program fee is a lot to take on and I need as much help as I can get. :) The picture above features some of my favorite art I've done in 2018. I love to paint digitally along with sketching and occasionally painting traditionally. Costume making has also been a passion of mine. It's always fun to come up with ways to make certain aspects of a costume and see how things come together in the end. Band and theatre have been big highlights of my high school career too. It's been great working with such amazing people. I had the opportunity to go to a work intensive last summer for free after auditioning called GSA where I got to work with people who shared a similar passion for the arts and made so many new friends. When I saw Rising Star, I definitely wanted to go after remembering the experience I had my previous summer working alongside people who had the same passion for art as everyone else did! Any donations will be greatly appreciated and I will be so grateful to have this opportunity. If I don't reach my goal, I will not have the money to go and anyone who donated will receive a full refund.
