Saving Bowie
Donation protected
The day after Christmas, my favorite being on this earth, a fun, adventure-loving dog named Bowie, was given a very grim prognosis: a very large mass in his spleen causing fluid to form around his organs and put him in a great deal of discomfort, accompanied by some worrisome spots on his liver.
Bowie still has a thirst for life and play, I strongly believe he has more life to live. At this moment, his spleen could rupture at any time and kill him. I am faced with no real wonderful decision: keep him as comfortable as possible(not allowing him to do what he lives for such as running, chasing wildlife, and swimming) until his spleen inevitably kills him in a matter of days/weeks, or remove his spleen and give him a possible chance at a longer, more play filled life.
These visits are extremely costly, but I will never forgive myself if I know there is any chance to save him and I don't take it.
Even if you can only spare a few dollars, every little bit gets me one step closer to giving my incredible dog the best care possible. He has literally saved my life twice, I owe him a fighting chance.
