Help Me Save My Home of 20+ Years

My name is Yolanda Floyd “Yoby”, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart. I’ve lived in my home in Georgia for over 20 years. It’s more than a house — it’s been my safe haven, my constant source of peace throughout an incredibly difficult health journey.

Due to multiple serious medical conditions, including ovarian cancer and the complications that followed, I’ve fallen behind on my mortgage. The total amount needed to save my home is $28,000, and the situation is extremely critical.

After enduring cancer treatment, I’ve been left with nerve damage, severe spinal arthritis, chronic back pain, and other ongoing health issues. I’m awaiting surgery for several incisional hernias, and I continue to undergo frequent MRIs, CT scans, and treatments. Many of my medications must be paid for out-of-pocket. Despite everything, my application for disability was denied, and I’m currently in the process of appealing.

The physical toll has made it impossible to work, and I’ve simply been unable to catch up financially. Losing my home would be devastating — not just financially, but emotionally. This house has been the one steady thing in a life filled with medical appointments, pain, and uncertainty. I love my community and the people around me, and I want nothing more than to stay in this place that brings me comfort and connection.
