My name is Felipe, originally from Porto Alegre, Brazil, and a former resident of Eldorado do Sul. Today, I am reaching out from my new home in Ireland, a place filled with warm hearts and generous spirits.

In recent months, my homeland has been struck by three devastating floods, leaving countless communities in dire straits. These catastrophic events have deeply affected the lives of millions, causing immense suffering and loss. The images and stories reaching me of families and friends back home feeling helpless amid the ruins have been heart-wrenching.

In these tough times, the resilient spirit of the Brazilian people is tested, yet many lack the basic necessities to rebuild and recover. Moved by their plight, and knowing the incredible kindness of the Irish people who have welcomed me so warmly, I am setting up this fund to channel support back to those communities most in need.
