Save Our Girl Luna -- Her Life Depends on it
Doação protegida
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help saving our sweet dog Luna.
Luna—affectionately known as Lulu—came into our lives as a tiny 4-week-old rescue. We bottle-fed and weaned her ourselves, and she quickly became part of our family. She’ll be turning 3 on July 7th; we share a birthday. She lives in a loving home with me, my boyfriend, my 2-year-old son, my 10-year-old nephew, my mom, and our three other dogs. Luna and my son have grown up side by side and share a deep, unbreakable bond.
Luna has been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition called Laryngeal Paralysis, which causes her airway to collapse—especially when she’s excited or active. Right now, she can only breathe safely while sedated. If she gets even a little bit excited about us coming home from work or becomes slightly overheated, she goes into distress and will need to be fully sedated and intubated. We’re doing everything we can to keep her stable at home, but it’s terrifying watching her struggle just to breathe.
She urgently needs surgery to survive. We’ve chosen Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital to perform the procedure, which is estimated to cost $6,000–$7,000. We were approved for $4,000 through CareCredit, but we still need help covering the remaining amount and any unexpected complications.
Luna is more than a pet—she’s our protector, our emotional support, and a piece of our hearts. She follows me everywhere I go, cuddles with our other dogs, and makes us laugh with her big personality. Her love is fierce and loyal. Having her healthy again would bring so much relief, joy, and healing to our home.
If you’re able to donate or even share this page, it would mean the world to us. Every little bit helps us get closer to giving Luna the care she needs to keep living the full, happy life she deserves.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With love,
