My family and I arrived in Philadelphia as refugees in April 2022. We feel fortunate to be in the United States, authorized to work and build a life here. However, less than a year later, we faced a dire emergency and need your help. My wife, Salma, has recently been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. She delivered our third child, Taym, to undergo treatment on January 17. She will now remain inpatient to undergo intensive treatment. I will become the sole caregiver for my newborn child and two older children. I hope to continue to work part-time but know that may be difficult during this challenging time.
These funds will go directly to my family to help us pay rent and meet other basic needs. Any amount is helpful.
