Save Kris Kennedy Fund

On January 12, our lives were changed forever. Kris Kennedy (My Mom) was found collapsed on her porch, unresponsive, and gasping to breathe.  Her husband Bruce woke up and moved swiftly to get her out of the cold and call 911. The timing was critical, had Bruce not woken up my Mom would not be here. 

We learned that my Mom had a brain aneyurism. She's since recieved multiple surgeries, been put on a ventilator, and continues to fight for her life at the University of Iowa hospital. We don't yet know how much damage has been done, but we do know that if my Mom survives it could take years for her to recover.

I had the opportunity to visit my Mom in the hospital on Friday the 15th of January. At that time, she was breathing on her own and could move every bone in her body. She had trouble breathing but she told me she loved me multiple times. When I asked if she knew who I was she nodded her head yes when she had the energy to do so although she couldn't remember my name. Which as you can imagine breaks my heart. She has since regressed and has been put back on a ventilator, she is also heavily sedated to help her rest and recover. 

Your support will help pay for my Mom's hospital bills. She will likely undergo more scans and tests than I can count by the time she leaves, and I expect that she will be there for at least a month, but we learn more every day. Based on what I've seen from other Go Fund Me accounts my family will likely have $150,000 of hospital bills.
