What is happening to my baby cousin "Juki" is a real-life tragedy—one that no child should ever have to endure. He is a beautiful, loving 11-year-old boy, and our so-called justice system has failed him, just as it has failed his 15-year-old sister.

Right now, "Juki" is trapped in the middle of an extremely intense, graphic, and emotionally devastating legal guardianship battle in San Bernardino County Court. Despite overwhelming history, evidence, and trauma, a judge has recently ordered that "Juki" be returned to the custody of a man who is a rapist, a child abuser, a batterer, a wife beater, a master manipulator, and a serial criminal—a real-life monster.

I was present at the most recent court hearing. The outcome had nothing to do with truth or safety. It came down to one thing: the abuser showed up with a lawyer, and our side was forced to self-represent. The scales of justice tipped in favor of the one with money and legal power, and the judge ordered "Juki" to be sent back to the very place he had just escaped.

"Juki’s" 15-year-old sister, "Gigi", was deemed old enough to choose for herself. She chose not to return. She chose safety.

"Juki" was not given that choice.

When court adjourned, "Juki" begged the judge for “one more day.” The judge refused.

He was taken away crying and screaming.

We could not save him that day.

"Juki" (11) and "Gigi" (15) are at the center of this guardianship case, which was opened in mid-November 2025 in San Bernardino County.

The case began after both minors were left in the care of their adult sisters, Nancy (22) and Fiorella (19), following an extremely violent domestic incident involving all four siblings and their parents:

Jorge (55) – Father

Andrea (42) – Mother

During this incident, Andrea suffered a facial injury requiring three stitches. Jorge was arrested for battery, and Andrea was taken in under a 5150 psychiatric hold. This level of violence was not new in the home—but this time, the children had finally had enough.

The siblings had been lied to, manipulated, and isolated from extended family their entire lives. Despite that, the adult sisters made the courageous decision to stand up to the parents they had lived in fear of for years.

They reached out to their oldest brother, Andre, who came immediately and rescued the siblings from the home. For the first time, they believed they were free.

They were wrong.

Systemic Failure at Every Step

From the moment they asked for help, the system failed them repeatedly:

The Moreno Valley Police Department failed to arrest Jorge for domestic violence after he threatened a lawsuit.

As a result, Fiorella was forced to perform a citizen’s arrest.

The judge initially hesitated to grant emergency temporary guardianship, but Fiorella made a last-minute, impassioned plea and shared her disturbing story.

Only then did the judge approve it.

A court-ordered CPS investigation came back filled with false statements and inaccuracies, appearing designed to protect CPS rather than the children begging for help.

After one month of "Juki" being out of the home, the judge stated he had “had enough” and ordered the 11-year-old returned.

A Long, Documented History of Abuse

These siblings are no strangers to being failed by the system:

There have been over 20 CPS cases throughout their childhood—most of them labeled “unfounded.”

Jorge has a long criminal history of domestic violence.

Andrea suffers from a severe and unstable mental condition and is medicated.

A rape investigation involving Jorge as the prime suspect was closed due to “insufficient evidence.”

One of the most severe incidents involved Fiorella, who was nearly killed when Jorge smashed her head repeatedly against a metal door frame, leaving her with a concussion and permanent but minor brain damage.

The siblings were trapped not only by physical violence, but by psychological abuse—threats, fear, and manipulation that kept them silent. They were warned that if they ever told the truth, there would be dire physical and financial consequences, and were gaslighted into believing they could not survive without their father.

The Truth That Changed Everything

Andrea has an older daughter from a previous relationship, Aylen (24).

Aylen grew up in the same house. She escaped at 18.

From the age of 10 to 18, Aylen was sexually abused by Jorge.

Full rape began at age 15.

Jorge referred to the abuse as “playtime.” If Aylen resisted, he punished her—grounding her, taking away privileges, and locking her inside the home. At times, he locked her in the garage without clothing or anything to cover herself, leaving her there overnight, alone, cold, and stripped of dignity.

When this truth finally came out, every sibling agreed it could not continue.

When Fiorella (then 17) confronted Jorge about the rape of her sister, he slammed her head into the ground, causing multiple injuries and a concussion. Once again, she was manipulated into recanting her statements to protect him—after he threatened to never allow her to see her siblings again.

Despite repeated involvement from CPS and police, no one stepped in to protect these children.

After the violent incident in mid-November, the siblings finally broke free and vowed never to let this happen again. Their oldest brother Andre stepped in and successfully obtained temporary guardianship.

That is when Jorge and Andrea hired a lawyer.

These brave siblings are now fighting to raise funds to hire a competent legal team to protect "Juki" and "Gigi", secure child support (which the parents currently refuse to pay), and provide basic necessities for the children.
