Hello everyone!
Since the birth of my first child, I have wanted to help other mothers and families through this wonderful milestone in life. I have had both a hospital birth and a homebirth and I believe every woman has the right to have the support and experience she deserves, no matter the setting or the family's circumstances.
I am raising money so I can take both the birth and postpartum doula courses through Childbirth International as well as the childbirth educator course. By combining the courses, I receive a significant discount on tuition. I plan on making my services available to low-income and at-risk women by volunteering my time and offering sliding-scale fees. I would also like to take part in the Prison Doula Project (http://www.prisondoulaproject.org) and offer services for those going through abortion, miscarriage, and stillbirth. I need your help to make this happen!
