In July one of our family members at Fresenius Medical Care Ramon Moreira, RN was diagnosed with Covid-19. Ramon has worked in dialysis for over 15 years. He’s a husband, father, and a US Marine veteran.
When the pandemic first hit he selflessly volunteered his skills in NY. He read about the devastation and immediately went where he was needed. This was not the first time Ramon put his safety on the line for those in need. He also asked for duty in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

He returned home to Texas just as the pandemic began growing exponentially in the state. Again, Ramon committed to long hours in the most dangerous situations, caring for Covid patients in acute condition.
For all his hard work, Ramon sacrificed his safety for the health of others, and was overcome with the novel Coronavirus.
Ramon was able to perservere and survive covid. It’s been a challenging couple of months for Ramon and his family. After a trying hospital stay, he found he still required extended care.
The virus has made things difficult for him and his family. He is unable to work, not unwilling, just not able. It is guaranteed if he were able he would take on the most challenging tasks for a nurse.
This frontline hero needs our help. Ramon has done so much for people in need, and it is our turn to help him when he is in such dire condition.
Ramon served our country as a veteran and continues serving our country as a frontline nurse. He would still be serving were it not for the virus.
It is his time to get the aid he needs. Help him and his family by contributing what you can. Every donation, no matter how small will help get him and his family through these trying times.
