Hi, my name is Amaya, and I'm starting this GoFundMe for my Uncle Sam, who tragically lost his life unexpectedly on September 20, 2023. To give some back story, my uncle Sam and his wife Ruby Princesa moved to the United States from the Philippines with their two children in 2018 to give their children a better life. Sam and Ruby worked hard to support their family: Sam as a dedicated employee at Sam's Club and Ruby as a nursing assistant at a local Bath nursing home. Their children are focused on their education with their son Ken studying at Kent State University, and their daughter Xpyna just starting her freshman year at Revere High School. Sam wasn't feeling well Wednesday morning but still went to work that day because of his relentless work ethic and dedication to supporting his family. That night, he was found unresponsive by his family. EMS was called but was unable to revive him.

I'm making this GoFundMe because Sam was the kindest, most pure, hard-working soul in the world whose life purpose was helping those around him. He was an amazing father, husband, friend, brother and uncle. Uncle Sam was always smiling, always so dedicated to the people he loved, and always had a hand outstretched ready to help those in need. He was also a man of god, and remained till his passing an extremely active member of his church. His death has come as an absolute shock to the whole family, blindsiding everyone. In these difficult times, I wanted to use this platform to offer them as much support as possible. The money will help offset the cost of funeral expenses, as well as support his two children and wife as they grapple with losing such a beloved soul and the main provider of their family. I know they also face the challenges of living in a foreign country where most of their family is not with them, and I wanted to show them how our amazing community supports each other here as well.
