Jack & All Type 1 Diabetic Patients
Donation protected
Our best buddy, Jack, was recently hospitalized in diabetic ketoacidosis and diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He's a Type 1 warrior and wants himself and others with Type 1 to benefit from a newly, FDA-approved immunologic, infusion treatment. This 14-day infusion, Tzield/Teplizumab, slows the immune attack on his pancreatic islet cells, helping to preserve their function. This means lower insulin demand, better glycemic control and fewer serious diabetic-related complications. The research that has led to this moment is amazing! It is going to change the lives of newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetics. However, since it's so new; it's, unfortunately, quite costly, $230K per 14-day infusion. We want Jack and other newly diagnosed Type 1 Diabetes to have this life-changing opportunity! Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this cause!
