For those of you who don’t know me I’m Amy and I play Inline Hockey.
Yes that right inline hockey, not ice hockey.
My dream ever since I was knee high to a grass hopper has always been to play for Australia at World Champions.
I had given up on my dream last year I had said to myself “If I don’t make it this year, I’m getting old kids are coming though the ranks I can’t keep up with them”. I had worked hard (lost 53kg), played hard but maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.
That was until a couple of weeks ago.
One of the girls on the team was unable to go to Worlds in Italy so I was asked to take her place.
I was blown out of the water. Me I was asked. And then the instant fear kicked in. How the hell am I going to pay for this.
World Championships will run from 8-18 June in Italy (I’m hoping there will be some live streaming of games) to give you a run down of what this money will go towards I will need an Australian uniform, flights, team fees, insurance and accomodation.
With the tight time frame, I cant get to Worlds with out some help. So I’m putting it out there to the world, my amazing friends and beautiful strangers, to help my dream come true.
Either $5 or $10 or $50 or $100, all amounts will help make my inline hockey adventure happen this June.
