Running For Mia
Donation protected
Hi, my name is John. I’m 30 years old, and I live with my wonderful wife, Tia, who’s 33. Together, we’re raising four amazing kids Ayden (11), Isla (5), John Jr. (3), and our youngest, Mia, who is 1 year old.
Recently, our sweet Mia was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that primarily affects girls and leads to severe physical and cognitive impairments. Children with Rett Syndrome often lose the ability to walk, speak, and use their hands. But despite the challenges, Mia is full of life and love — and she inspires us every single day.
To support Mia and her future, I’ve committed to running the PEI Marathon on October 19, 2025. Our goal is to raise funds to purchase a Trexo robotic walking device, which would help Mia experience movement in a way that would otherwise be impossible. Funds will also go toward other specialized equipment and therapies to give her the best quality of life we can.
We know this journey won’t be easy but we believe in showing up, moving forward, and doing everything we can for our little girl.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for walking (and running) alongside us.
