For the last 35 years, Ruben Van Kempen has been at the helm of the Roosevelt High School drama program helping to build the only full-time theater program in the Seattle School District and one of the nation's most respected programs. With the recent announcement of his retirement, it has become profoundly clear the tremendous impact Ruben has had on his students, the incredible effect he has had on the community, and the overall contributions he has made to education and the performing arts. Help us ensure that Ruben's legacy always remains a part of the RHS drama program by joining our campaign to get the theater renamed the "Ruben Van Kempen Theatre". Our Goal: To raise $350,000 to secure the naming rights of the theater as well as fund the RHS drama program for many years to come. This effort is driven by friends and supporters of Ruben Van Kempen.
