Alysha Daniel Fund

On Thursday February 11th Alysha was brought into emergency at SAH. She was quickly brought in to the intensive care unit where she was heavily sedated, given a feeding tube and hooked up to every machine possible. Friday February 12th she was flown to Toronto General where she was brought out of sedation to be assessed by the specialists. We have since found out that she has an infection of the inner wall of the heart as well as the heart valve. The valve is not functioning properly. She was given antibiotics to try to treat the infection before surgery can be performed. Sunday February 14 doctors have determined her kidney is struggling and she has been placed on dialysis to drain the fluid in order to prep for additional surgery.

At the moment Alyshas mom Jennifer is with her. Her father Ian and brother AJ will also be flying out to be with her. This comes with a heavy financial burden as both Jennifer and AJ have to take time off work to be with Alysha and Ian is currently not working due to surgery performed in January.

Alyshas family is helping out in every way possible but we would appreciate any help we can get. All funds will be put towards accommodation, food, transportation and any other necessities during their stay in Toronto.

Please keep this little girl in your thoughts and prayers, while she is a fighter and is always positive and happy, her body cannot keep up with her strength.
