Hello everyone, my name is Stephan Schollig, and I have been selected to represent Team Canada at the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) Men's World Championship in Ostrava, Czechia, from June 20-28, 2026!

This is a dream come true and the highest honour of my ball hockey career. To be chosen to wear the Maple Leaf and compete for a world championship on the international stage is an opportunity I have worked towards my entire life.

My Journey to Team Canada:

My selection is built on years of dedication and success with my club teams right here in Alberta:

-I honed my skills with my hometown club, Calgary Blue Steel, where we battled to a Silver Medal at the Alberta Provincials 2025, and I was honoured to be named Top Defenceman of the tournament.

-I was selected for team Canada for the WBHF tournament in Buffalo in may of 2025 where I was selected as an alternate captain. The team was selected from top players around the country and played over a week were we unfortunately missed our goal of the gold medal.

-Continuing to compete at the highest level, I played for the Edmonton Savages in 2025, where we achieved the ultimate national goal: winning the Canadian Men’s A National Title. I was also humbled to be named an All-Star Defenceman at this event.

These experiences forged me as a player and put me on the radar for the National Team. Now, the call has come, and I am ready to bring my best to the world stage.

The Challenge:

While being selected is a massive honour, it also comes with significant personal financial responsibility. As an amateur athlete, I am responsible for covering all my costs, including:

· Tournament Fees & Team Canada Gear

· International Flights to Czechia

· Accommodation & Meals

· Ground Transportation

The total cost for this incredible opportunity is approximately $5000
