Riley’s Journey-let’s make smiley smile again❤️

Hi my name is Brook and I am fundraising for my Special little sister Riley.Riley is 14. She is a Triplet and was born at 32 weeks. Unfortunately Riley had a bleed on her Brain and 2 years later diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Riley has always been inspirational, loving and smiley and never let anything hold her back. At the age of 10 Riley lost her long term best friend Katie to Cancer which was devastating for her. Covid hit us all and on a very hot VE Day celebrated in 2020 Riley suddenly had a seizure at Home and was hospitalised for 4 days. Around a year later she then had another severe seizure and was diagnosed with Vocal epilepsy which she currently has medication for. Before the second seizure occurred Riley joined a disabled swim club and was competing in Galas and her wish was to one day swim in the para olympics.

In September of 2022 Riley was suddenly rushed to hospital with pneumonia and Pleurisy. She was hospitalised for 8 days with severe infection however after being discharged she has never recovered and is undergoing multiple tests. These include bloods tests, doplers, X-rays, Echocardiogram, steroid injections in to her Joints. These tests are to find out a diagnosis which could be an auto immune disease or JIA.Her motability has deteriorated so much so that she now uses a wheelchair. She’s still not back at school fully as pain and flare ups keep her from going. She desperately misses her friends and the life she had. She is very down at the moment and I want to help bring back the Smile we all know and love by raising money for her to travel to Hollywood on a media and film trip for school as this is what she is studying and enjoys. Anything towards helping Riley’s dream of travelling and help raise money to get her there is appreciated !!
