Rigoberto "Rigo" Alvaro Joachin

On behalf of my best friend, Ana, and her little sister, Alex, it is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of their brother, Rigoberto "Rigo" Joachin. September 3rd, 2023 was the most devastating day of their lives. Ana's baby brother and Alex's big brother (and the only boy in the family), unexpectedly passed away at the age of 34, leaving a lot of questions unanswered and their hearts shattered.

In addition to grieving the loss of their brother, they have been desperately working with the Embassy in El Salvador to request the presence of Rigo and Ana's father in the U.S. to lay his only son to rest. They are still waiting for approval.

We ask for prayers to help Ana and Alex along the way, to help heal their broken hearts and give them strength to get through their time of loss and the journey ahead.

To all of his friends who are dear to him, we give you our sincere condolences as we know his friends and family meant everything to him.

We have set up this GoFundMe account to help Rigo's sisters honor his wishes by bringing him back home to Florence, SC from Bassett, VA, to be laid to rest. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
