3rd surgery went well! Infection hasn’t spread and a wound vac was placed on his incision. Ridley was extubated this afternoon and is holding his own so far! On behalf of Ridleys Dad, Mom and family, we can’t thank you enough for all of the support!
Hi everyone!! As most of you have heard by now, Ridley is very sick and currently in Children’s Hospital Cincinnati with toxic shock due to a shoulder injury sustained playing football. Ridley lives and breathes as a Monroe Hornet! At this time we are unsure how much the hospital bills will add up to as he is only 4 days into this. So far he was airlifted from Children’s Liberty Campus to the main campus Wednesday afternoon. Currently he is sedated and intubated and today he has his 3rd surgery and we are hoping it to be his last for the infection, then his shoulder injury can be addressed next. The doctors anticipate a lengthy in hospital rehab and long, long road to recovery. Please keep him and family in your thoughts and prayers.
People have been asking how they can help and right now this was the only thing I could think of. Kelly and Jennifer have both put in for FLMA and will remain by Ridleys side throughout this process. I know they will appreciate any help!
