Ride for Damian: Promote Road Safety Awareness
Spende geschützt

My little brother, Damian Baranowski, passed away suddenly on June 29th, 2024 after a tragic traffic violation. He was cycling on Route 206 when he was struck from behind. Damian had just turned 22 years old. He celebrated his last birthday on June 19th. He was a collegiate swimmer and a recent graduate from NYU. He was ready to take on the world––planning on moving to DC, taking trips with friends, and spending time with those he loved. He was passionate about cycling, swimming, hiking, climbing, and camping. He spent every moment he could outdoors. Damian was kind and loved by all who knew him. He never complained and always offered a helping hand with a contagious smile. He will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
My family and I have started this GoFundMe to raise money in Damian’s honor. Half of the proceeds will be dedicated towards increasing cyclist safety and awareness, in order to prevent future tragic crashes. The other half of the proceeds will fund an annual ride in his honor. His memorial ride will be held on June 29th, 2025, with a celebration of life to follow.
We thank you for your support. Damian will always be our angel.
He is protecting every one of you.
With love,
Karolina Baranowski
