Fighting Cancer- Ricky ZaTeng Xiong
Donazione protetta
Ricky ZaTeng Xiong (56) is a husband, brother, uncle and father of five. He is one of the most selfless, generous and big hearted people we know. He genuinely cares for everyone and gives all that he can. He never has to think twice about helping anyone and is never concerned about the time he puts in. He has worked so hard to be where he is today and unfortunately 2016 has been a tough year with heart breaking news that changed his life forever.
On September 12, 2016 Ricky was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon Rectal Cancer. Quickly after his diagnosis he started chemotherapy and radiation for 6 weeks in hopes to shrink the cancer but was not successful. On December 19, 2016, he had to get colon/rectal surgery (part of the large intestine and full rectum was removed). He will have to live with colostomy for the rest of his live which was his biggest fear. Even with the surgery, it is not guaranteed that he will be cancer free.
It will take up to 4-6 weeks to heal after which, chemotherapy will resume. All in an effort to be cancer free!
Since Ricky's diagnosis, he has had to leave his job in order to do chemo and radiation. As we all know, medical bills are a huge toll on a family that is already fighting for a life. We want to ask for any help that we can with the medical expenses. We want the best care for the biggest hearted person we know and want the medical expenses to be the least of their worries.
All donations will be used towards Ricky's medical bills in his journey to fight against cancer!
Thank you for supporting the Xiong family in this time of hardship.
With much love and gratitude,
- Nieces and Nephews
